Broadway alum Dee Roscioli will join the first national tour of Wicked as Elphaba beginning June 7 at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha, Nebraska. She will join a cast that includes Amanda Jane Cooper as Glinda, Randy Danson as Madame Morrible and Mark Jacoby as the Wizard.
Roscioli, a seasoned Wicked vet, has played Elphaba in more than 1000 performances of the smash hit musical. She joined the Broadway company of Wicked for an eight-month run beginning in July of 2009, following three years with the show’s Chicago production. She also played the role in San Francisco, and has appeared as Grizabella in the national tour of Cats and in the NYSF workshops of Dangerous Beauty and Behind the Limelight.
Wicked will run in Omaha through June 12, before moving on to a ten-week engagement at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. beginning June 15.
